ÅLÖ is one of the world’s leading suppliers in the agricultural machinery industry. The company develops and manufacture top-quality front loaders under the brands Quicke® and Trima® and associated implements under Original Implements™.
In 2013, we started a collaboration with ÅLÖ to bring their new construction concept of front loaders to a next level. The new series of front loaders should fit the contemporary exterior in tractors with advanced surfaces and exceed the visibility demands of driver.
All tactors and front loaders are constructed differently. That challenges the possibility in reaching equivalent detail level and definition in surfaces, fitting cost, durability and user expectations. Tractors are able to reach a high definition in exterior since they protect the inside and are not the carrying construction. In contrary the carrying construction in front loaders is also the exterior.
Another contradiction was the demand of diversity with as many shared building blocks as possible, concerning Production, Manufacturing and Logistics. The new design should fit the Brand strategy for ÅLÖ brands and fit many different tractor brands.
We analyzed the brands Quicke & Trima and the general exterior design trends in the agricultural tractor market. We developed ideas and concepts how the brand values could be translated in surface detailing and graphics fitting the user and production demands.
We proposed ideas how to differentiate. The concept and implementation work demanded close cooperation with the R&D and Marketing teams at ÅLÖ.
The new Q-serie of front loaders was introduced in 2017. Pressed sheet metal parts with a profile that fits modern tractors, it also improves the visibility for driver. The larger pressed sheet metal and casted metal parts forms a front loader with high strength. In combination with moulded plastic parts the new loader series reaches a detail level equal to modern tractors. Read more about the Q-serie.
